Works infused with grace and refinement
The themes of my works are dragons, divine beasts, Shinto and Buddhist deities, and the traditional Japanese themes of natural beauty, all of which have been revered and loved by Japanese people since ancient times. I use traditional decorative wooden panels (ranma) and traditional carving techniques that have been passed down from past generations to represent dragons and divine beasts in ways that fit present-day sensibilities and to pass them on to future generations. My aim is to create works that are infused with grace and refinement.
